Single flute tools are best suited to high-speed machining operations due to the superior chip removal. The geometry of single flute cutters allows space for chip evacuation, meaning we can increase chip load on the tool and better manage heat during milling.
The machines import ISO G Codes and create a Datron MCR or SIMPL file
The CAD/CAM software you choose will be dependant on your application and preference. Fusion from Autodesk integrates well with the Datron library, and is the most widely used. However, the machine can import files from various CAD/CAM software using the relevant post-processor.
There is a package offered by Close Bros, 3-5-7 which covers the machine for 3, 5 or 7 years depending on what you need. The package can cover a variety of scenarios including accidental damage which is useful for certain instances.
IMS is available from chemical suppliers, you will however need to get a license from Customes and Excise as it is a denatured alcohol, there is no charge for this.
Normally we use IMS (Industrial Methylated Spirit) or known as ‘Ethanol’ this evaporates leaving dry parts. There are alternatives, we can supply ProCut 56 and ProCut 200 for plastic and steel applications.
